The Longest Day Ride
Description:
Longest Day ride is an annual self supported, double century, double metric or century route (your choice). The majority of the riders prefer to do the double century (90%+). The double century starts in Port Jervis, NY, near the NJ High Point Monument, traverses the north-western part of NJ closely following Rt 206, then moves east in the plains of Central Jersey and then through the Pine Barrens down to Cape May. The first part of the route is hilly. In the central and southern part of the state the traffic drops off and so do the hills. It rolls through the acres of farmlands and the NJ Pine Barrens. The final destination, The Cape May Lighthouse.

New for this year the club is offering on a 1st-come, 1st served basis an optional rider-shuttle and bike-transport from Metropark train station, Iselin, NJ on Friday afternoon to the startpoint at the Best Western hotel in Matamoras, PA, and return shuttle/transport back to Metropark from Cape May on Saturday night.
All riders (shuttled or non-shuttled) will get pre-ride dinner at the hotel, 2 fully-stocked/manned rest stops, gear/bag transfer to the 2nd rest stop, Sweep SAG and pizza/drinks at Cape May.
Registration opens March 1st on the CJBC.org website and fees are $60 non-shuttled/$160 shuttled. A current CJBC annual membership is required due to club insurance requirements, so if not a member, you must sign-up on the club website (additional $20) before registering for the Longest Day NJ ride.
