1st Club Ride and Meeting

Description: Yay...you have made it through the winter and you are now looking forward to bringing all the hard intense indoor winter training to the outdoors or maybe you fall into the group that has not been on your bike since the last club ride in October of last year?  Whichever category you fall into, don't worry this ride will offer something for all riding levels. Traditionally the 1st club ride of the season is at a leisurely pace. We will start the day with a club meeting to bring all up to date on the developments over the winter. After the meeting we will have our group photo before we start a 35 mile ride through West Caldwell, Hanover, Madison & Chatham.

Don't forget to wear your Classic White Kit for the photo op!


Ride Location: Turtle Back Zoo (Essex County Satellite Office)

Meet-up Time: 8:00 AM    Roll-out Time:   9:30 AM

There will be a club meeting before the club ride.  Please show up at 8 AM

Club Meeting: Start promptly at 8:00 AM

Parking Instructions: Parking is FREE. After turning onto the property (560 Northfield Ave), the Turtle Back Zoo entrance will be on your right and the Essex County Park N Ride (free commuter parking) will be on your left. The parking gate should be raised allowing you to enter the parking garage where you can park on the first level of the parking deck. 

Meeting Instructions: The 8:00 AM meeting will be at the Essex County Recreation & Open Space Trust Fund (the offices in front of the parking deck with the glass windows)

Cancellations: Check the MTCCNJ Rides & Activities WhatsApp chat group (members only) for last minute updates or the Major Taylor Cycling Club of New Jersey private Facebook Group, for everyone else.
